2017
Our first activity in 2017... a combined activity for New Year and spring on March 18 th.
We visited the city of Malines. A guided visit of the "De Wit Royal Carpet Drapery". In the afternoon a boattrip with the highlights of this beautiful historical city.

The F.F. of Limburg general meeting on April 29th.
Under the guidance of our club president we went over the coming activities of 2017 with a fine-tooth comb. In a relaxed and fine atmosphere, with a little snack and a good glas of wine, everybody had a lovely afternoon. During that enjoyable gathering, the club took a formal leave of Marie-Christine Buntinx who was a member of the board for many years.

The F.F. of Medicine Hat, Canada visited our club from May 3rd till May 10th.
A very successful exchange. The highlighs were a guided tour of the picturesque little town of Zoutleeuw. A visit to a local beer brewery could only contribute to boost our young friendship. Further a visit to Tongeren, the oldest town of Belgium with a visit of the exhibition "Timeless Beauty" in the Gallo-Roman museum. The official welcome was in the Town Hall of Bilzen. Moreover a visit to the grand castle of Alden Biesen, Flanders Fields, Louvain ...

Inbound exchange: the F.F. of Metro Vancouver, Canada to the F.F. of Limburg from June 2nd till June 5th.
The highlights were: a visit of the university town of Louvain, the open-air museum of Bokrijk and a guided visit of the gin museum in Hasselt.

The F.F. of Tamworth, Australia visits the F.F. of Limburg.
11 members of the F.F. of Tamworth, Australia visited the F.F. of Limburg from July 25th till August 01st. On the programme a visit of Brussels, the capital of our country, Liège, the most important town of the French speaking part of Belgium, .... The official welcome was at the town hall of Dilsen-Stokkem, where the mayor, herself, gave the speech to welcome our guests. The absolute highligth of this exchange was certainly the visit of Ypres and Flanders Fields. Really a great exchange!
